Information we use
Billy Home stores the name and email supplied by your sign-in provider, the contact details you choose to save, and the projects, requests, wishlist items and documents you add. Google sign-in uses your basic profile and email address. It does not request access to your Gmail inbox, contacts or Google Drive.
Why we use it
We use this information to identify your account, save your home records and respond to project, quote, maintenance and support requests. Google identities and email verification codes are checked on the server before a login session is created.
Who can access it
You can access your own dashboard and documents. The authorised Billy team can review project and service requests, contact details and issued payment or warranty records. The super-user dashboard shows account contact details, projects, service requests and recent account activity. It does not expose private wishlist contents or document downloads. Activity records contain event labels, such as sign-in or document upload, rather than document contents or sign-in codes. Recent activity is retained for 90 days; first-recorded and last-seen timestamps help us support your account.
Service providers and cookies
The website uses OpenAI Sites hosting and Cloudflare-backed database and document storage. Google and ChatGPT handle their respective sign-in services under their own privacy policies. The Billy Home sign-in page loads Google’s sign-in service. Resend delivers email sign-in codes to the address you enter. Billy Home uses essential secure cookies for login and session security. Codes expire after ten minutes, can be used once, and allow at most five attempts. Billy Home sessions expire after seven days. Hashed rate-limit records help prevent abuse and expire within a day; expired records are cleaned up on subsequent sign-in requests.
Your choices
Only upload information relevant to your project. Avoid identity documents or payment-card details. To request access, corrections, deletion or help with your information, email hello@billythebuilder.site. Project records remain in your account until removed in response to a request or another applicable retention requirement. We will explain any records we need to retain when responding to your request.
Existing accounts
Email, Google and ChatGPT accounts are not automatically merged by matching email addresses. To add another sign-in method to an existing dashboard, sign in using your usual method and select Connect email or Connect Google in My account.
